Since recently discovering the works of Obey's Shepard Fairey, I was extremely excited to see he has now been commissioned by Penguin Booksto design two new book covers for George Orwell classics, Animal Farm and 1984. They will be available from 3 July.

I can't support Obama because he supports Shepard Fairey. A criminal who is one reason why the US spends over 10 billion per year on street clean nationwide. How can Obama praise an artist who puts stickers over stop signs risking the lives of citizens?
Most people don't realize that the artist behind the HOPE poster is a criminal who has been arrested dozens of times for damaging public property. He was arrested after the Democrat convention this year for spray painting a wall. The theft of art is minor compared to those crimes.
Look it up. Know your facts. And ask why Obama would associate with Fairey. Stop supporting both of these frauds.
Wow anonymous, stop hiding behind your internet mask. Fairey is an artist. Putting a sticker over a stop sign is in no way endangering a life, a stop sign is purposefully the only octagonal sign in america. His work beautifies parts of america that are industrial and ugly, he creates a human landscape. Grafiti can be negative, but in his hands, it seldom is.
